UXPA is volunteer-founded, volunteer-led, and volunteer-loved. Our volunteers are the foundation of our community, where we strive to make memories, inspire, and help every one of us. We have opportunities for members of all career and experience levels to contribute to our community, in exchange for some pretty great perks!
Volunteering with the NYC UXPA is your chance to shine and make a real difference within a user experience professionals’ organization that serves the great City of New York and the Tri-State area.

We have opportunities to give back within Operations, Event Planning and Photography, Content Strategy and Design, Research, Website Development, our Mentorship and Volunteer programs, and more!
Our Commitments to our Volunteers
We will match your unique skills to a volunteer position where you can make the greatest impact – and we provide support and training along the way! Strengthen your leadership skills and develop brand new skills while dedicating yourself to a professional network that can boost your UX or HCI career.
Volunteering with NYC UXPA is a great way to form new connections and memories with a local NYC-based group working in the professional user experience sphere! You’ll get the chance to network with other professionals as you collaborate within your specialized team and the rest of your volunteer cohort.
We measure the positive impact of our volunteers on the NYC UXPA during their service and recognize their outstanding efforts.
Plus, all volunteers receive free event tickets for the duration of their volunteer commitment period (minimum 6 months.)
Our Volunteers’ Commitments to NYC UXPA
All volunteers must be Annual Members of the NYC UXPA. We also ask that volunteers be able to contribute a minimum number of hours per month, for at least 6 months. The exact responsibilities each volunteer is assigned will depend on your unique role.
All volunteers must represent NYC UXPA in a respectful and professional manner, and be active and effective communicators within your team.
