Women in Tech Panel

The NYC UXPA is hosting a Women in Tech Panel on Thursday, March 25 in honor of Women’s History Month. The goal of this event is to provide a space for people to talk and ask questions around navigating the tech world as members of these communities. The panel includes cisgender women and a transgender woman.
Meet our Panel
Bridget Sheerin:
Bridget Sheerin began her career as a UX Designer & Researcher at ThoughtWorks, where she built robust discovery & delivery processes that create value for customers and employees. She has been a UX researcher and product strategist for international nonprofits, media organizations, and leading e-commerce platforms. She is most passionate about creating a thriving organizational culture and helping organizations make the necessary transformations needed to compete in a digital economy.
Johanna Campos (she/her):
Johanna Campos is currently the VP of Design at CancerCompass. Prior to this, she spearheaded the redesign of WebMD’s Symptom Checker and led a team of UX researchers and visual designers. When not in Zoom calls, she’s thinking of what to eat next or where to go for some fresh air.
Soleil Solomon (she/her):
Soleil Solomon (Lead Instructor, General Assembly NYC) is a developer, composer, and General Assembly alum. When she’s not building applications with fun, intuitive interfaces, she’s working on music production and composition. In instruction, she loves to find edge cases and workarounds to create solutions where many might not be found.
Kim Moy (she/her):
Kim Moy is a Senior Manager of Product Design who leads and coaches designers in creating experiences for Capital One Commercial Banking. Prior to this, she was a designer at The New York Times. Kim also organizes the UX + Data Meetup, creating community around exploring how the intersection of design and data impacts our work and our lives.
Meet our Moderator
Danielle Schmitz Martin (she/her):
Danielle Schmitz Martin is a UX Researcher with TAILORU Collective, where she leads UX research efforts and accessible design workshops. Danielle is also the NYC UXPA Event Program Committee Lead. When she is not online, she enjoys listening to various podcasts and working on her art.
