Bernard Boey
As a Lead UX Designer, Bernard is responsible for all aspects of UX at Columbia University Central IT. Aside from his day to day responsibilities, he started the Center of Excellence for Usability and Experience Design at Columbia. The mission of the center is to be strategic partners with cross-functional teams to collaborate on and create the human-centered design (HCI). He partnered with colleagues across all Columbia campuses who are passionate about UX and started a UX Community of Practice. He rallied his colleagues across other business units to create the Columbia design system. He is also an active member of UXPA and mentored several UXers over the last few years. He has experience serving the higher-ed for over 12 years.
Diana Kusunoki
Diana is the User Experience & Research Manager at White Ops, a cybersecurity company specializing in verifying the humanity of online interactions to protect against sophisticated digital fraud. Since joining White Ops, she has taken the lead as the sole UX professional supporting multiple cross-functional teams and lines of product. Her specialties are in participatory design methods and situation awareness, which she uses to gather feedback from various stakeholders then synthesize it all into cohesive designs that support complex workflows requiring awareness and analysis of emerging threats. Tamora Petitt
Tamora is a UX Designer, Researcher, Strategist, and Educator with extensive experience conducting user research, designing digital interfaces, and implementing user-centered design processes within organizations. She has worked in the technology industry since 1999 in many roles including Quality Assurance Tester, Front-end Developer, Web Designer, and 15 years as a User Experience Practitioner.
She has certifications in project management and user experience including Usability Analyst certification from Human Factors International and the Nielsen Norman Group UX Master certification. She also sits on the Media Technology & Design Commission for the NYC Department of Education and has been a member of NYC UXPA for 8 years and is currently serving as President.
